Read the job description for further details: duties & major responsibilities, experience & qualifications, and compensation & benefits.

Got Green builds power in working-class Black & Brown communities in southeast Seattle and we fight for healthy housing, meaningful work, nourishing food, and care for people & the planet.  Through our history, we have engaged thousands of community members, developed community leaders, waged grassroots fights, and have been a force for environmental, economic, and racial justice.  Within recent history, Got Green has experimented with a shared leadership model and after deep reflection, we have decided to re-introduce an Executive Director position to our staff.

Got Green’s current work focuses on organizing public housing tenants and fighting for healthy public housing.  Got Green has nine staff positions (including the Executive Director). Currently, Got Green is searching for a new office in southeast Seattle and will have a flexible approach to working from home and the office. With that said, all staff are expected to live in the Seattle area.  Additionally, all Got Green staff are expected to participate in various in-person activities (door-knocking, house visits, actions, one-on-ones), meetings, and events.

To apply, please send info@gotgreen.org an email with “Executive Director” in the subject line. Please include a cover letter, resume, and two references. Apply before the end of day on April 20, 2025.

Our hope is to interview for this position throughout May. The earliest this position would begin is in June.  Our hope is for a relatively swift start and we will try our best to be accommodating with start time.  As we have this aspirational timeline, Got Green will continue our search process until we find the right candidate.

The Executive Director is a full time, exempt position responsible for Got Green’s overall leadership, strategic direction, as well as supervision & team management duties. Further information about the position and compensation here.
